Information

Our Pre-School

The Pre-School is run by an elected Committee of parents/carers assisted by a qualified manager. We employ trained pre-school leaders for the day to day running of the pre-school. They work alongside trained assistants, or assistants in training.
We actively encourage parental involvement at all levels and welcome parents' help with the organisation of activities and events.

A new Committee is elected each autumn term at the AGM, ensuring a fresh and enthusiastic team each year. Parents/carers are informed well in advance so that they are able to attend. All major decision making is in the hands of the parents whose children attend the Pre-School (via the pre-school Management Committee).

Our pre-school has been assessed by Ofsted and passed for validation under the Nursery Education Funding Scheme whereby 3 year olds are eligible to have their fees covered by the government. In accordance with the schemes guidelines, the progress of children will be assessed and recorded; and staff will report regularly back to parents/carers. We follow a specially tailored curriculum, which leads to approved early learning goals. Each child is supported by a personal keyworker.
