Management committeeAbout the committeeSt Helen's Preschool is a charity, run by a management committee, working closely with the staff for the benefit of the preschool. The committee members are all volunteer parents/carers who give their time freely for the management of the preschool and are elected by the parents of the children who attend the preschool. The committee is responsible for managing and monitoring the preschool resources and budget, and for reviewing policy and practice in line with legislation. We also raise money for the preschool (for toys, equipment etc.), promote the preschool by taking part in various local events, and arrange fun things for the children to do. A new committee is elected each year at the AGM, which ensures that decision-making is in the hands of the parents whose children attend the preschool. All parents/carers are welcome to stand for election to the committee. Parents/carers are informed of the AGM well in advance so that they are able to attend. Contact the committeeIf you have anything you wish to bring to the committee's attention, or have any questions, please have a chat with any of its members or send us an email.
